The number of hits this video has received is amazing--
nearly shut down my server. 1) Do a Google Search for Apollo 20. Okay, its supposed to be a "pre-flight" study... hmmm, well, maybe... but then:
2)
Note the size of the numbers on the "window".
Further, the numbers themselves do not shake in sync with the rest of the image
that is shaking. And you REALLY enjoy the universe. Click your amygdala forward. :-)
Note, I am only making observations on this one particular video, and personally, I do believe in forms of life that exist outside of humans and earth, and I've seen some extraordinary evidence of such previously. This just isn't an example.
UPDATE: 5/17/07 Just read an opinion by "B" posted somewhere on the web, who states, "Hi, i'm a lurker that came out of hiding on this one as well. I'm gonna illustrate what I'm about to say in hopes it helps lend to what i think to somehow be a real video. Granted the guy who posted has some cheesy stuff that seems a hoax, but so far i haven't heard any true "break down" on why this particular thread is video is a hoax....The above link "debunking" the video makes me want to cry when I see details not properly thought out and used as "hoax proof" when in fact the details described prove the opposite. i'm going to use this guys points to illustrate the authentic feel of the video..."
Well, I read this fellow's comments, and whoever this is, really doesn't know cameras and lenses, he tries to explain away some very basic optics with fancy words, smoke and ill-logic, which bears no resemblance to optical reality. He is like the 9/11 Commission trying to explain how big buildings came down at free fall speed from pancaking floors.
There is no lens on planet earth that can zoom in and leave foreground items unchanged, much less, in focus, and NASA does not have a Superman Secret Telephoto Lens capable of this either. A telephoto lens wouldn't allow anything on the window to be read at all, much less remain in focus, at any price, during an extreme zoom.
"B" is grasping at imaginary straws, he is, and promoting his opinion as reality and truth.
In reality, camera shake would be more pronounced in foreground objects, and the far ground objects would show less shake. In this video, reality is reversed- impossible if genuine.
Go get the most expensive (or even cheap) telephoto lens you can put your hands on, write something on a window, then zoom in on something past the window at infinity focus. Shake the camera, try, just try to read what's on the glass, and have it additionally remain COMPLETELY stationary or close to stationary, while the far ground is shaking and zooming like crazy, at ANY size . Well DUH.
Additionally, the slow panning movement of the window numbers are completely arbitrary. Ask ANY professional photographer to view the video-- case closed, no brainer. I had another professional look at this (besides myself) moments ago-- we both had a good laugh. To quote my friend after he looked at this-
That some people would cling or even promote a fiction, and not being able to accept something they could easily verify themselves, for whatever reason. Isn't this how the Nationalist Social Party operated in the late 30's?
The most interesting thing about this clip, is that someone DID go to a lot of trouble to produce it.
WHY?
To take our mind off the REAL news? So we forget what is really going on that deserves our attention like: the war; corporate greed; ridiculously expensive US health care; poor education; poverty; starvation; pollution....
For fun? For the heck of it? Sure, that's a distinct possibility, if not the best explanation. But perhaps there is a more sinister explanation, although unknowable unless the maker comes forth...
